Abstract of the DisclosureA method of increasing the temperature of shower water usedin a wood grinding process wherein wood is ground in a grindingspace (3) under a pressure exceeding atmospheric pressure, andwarm shower water (G) is fed into the grinding space for improvingthe grinding process. In order to compensate losses of shower waterreplacement water (E) is added to the shower water circulatingsystem. The replacement water is fed into the groundwood pulp (A)after the grinding space but before a steam separator. Thus coolerreplacement water can be heated by the heat energy otherwise re-leased from the groundwood pulp in the steam separator, and thetemperature of the shower water can be maintained close to 100°Cin spite of the addition of cool replacement water and withoutusing a pressurized steam separator.
