METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING NATURALGAS FROM GAS WELLS FOR SAFE TRANSPORTATIONIN PRESSURE VESSELSABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA system for treating natural gas from a gassource, such as a gas well, to make it suitable forsafe transport in high tensile strength pressure vesselsat pressures in excess of 2000 psi. The system comprisessuitable pipes and valves for taking gas from a gas well.A separator is provided for removing free liquids fromthe gas fed thereto from the gas well to provide a sub-stantially liquid-free gas. A compressor compressesthe substantially liquid-free gas to a higher pressureto reduce the volume of the gas for storage in thepressure vessels. A cooler is further provided toreduce the volume of gas and to recondition the gasfor dehydration. A dehydrator substantially lowers thewater vapor content in the gas to a concentration ofless than 0.1 lb H2O/mmscf of gas to prevent theformation of free water within the pressure vessels whentransporting and unloading the gas and which water wouldcause internal corrosion and failure of the pressurevessels. Pipes and valves are also provided for loadingthe pressurized dehydrated gas in the vessels.-1-
