ABSTRACTThe invention provides a rubber composition co-vulcanizable with asulfur cure system, the composition comprising 95 to 20% by weight of a partiallyhydrogenated unsaturated nitrile-conjugated diene copolymer rubber in which atleast 50% of units derived from the conjugated diene are hydrogenated, 5 to 80%by weight of an ethylene-propylene-nonconjugated diene terpolymer rubber, anda required amount of at least one vulcanization accelerator selected from thegroup of thiuram accelerators and dithiocarbamate accelerators. The rubbercomposition of the invention exhibits the excellent oil and ozone resistanceof its two rubber components and shows a higher tensile strength and heataging resistance than that which would have been brought about by the mixingof the two rubbers.The rubber composition is particularly useful in such areas thatrequire the above properties, for example, automotive brake hoses, automotiveradiator hoses, transmission belts, conveyer belts, sheets and rolls.
