Mixtures of quaternary polymeric ammonium salts and of a ternary surfactant system based on non ionic, anionic and amphoteric surfactants, its preparation and its use in cosmetic compositions

Aqueous compositions which contain a combination of at least (A) quaternary polymeric ammonium salts (homo- or copolymers with molecular weights of 104 to 109) and (B) a ternary surfactant system composed of (B1) non-ionic surfactants, (B2) anionic surfactants and (B3) amphoteric surfactants and are in the form of completely clear formulations which precipitate on addition of water as so-called precipitating systems can be used as hair cosmetics, and when used in this way for shampooing, the conditioning effects achieved on the treated hair are excellent.
