Method for typing text on a support sheet with simultaneous coded recording permitting automatic re-reading for further processing, whereby a limited sequence of numeric signals is recorded in a first memory, each of said signals corresponding to a graphic character according to a basic code, the memory being permanently read and its contents displayed in graphic characters, the contents of the first memory being transferred into a second memory in response to an end-of-sequence signal, and the contents of the second memory being printed in graphic form in response to a first reading of the second memory, the method being characterized in that numeric coded characters are printed following graphic printing, in response to a second reading of the second memory.
