we describe a method of preparation of organo soluble complexes of calcium can be used as combustion additives in liquid fuels, which includes:(a) the reaction of a sulfonic acid with an oxide or calcium hydroxide in excess, in a solvent mixture consisting of a liquid hydrocarbon or a halogenated hydrocarbon of petroleum origin and iso propanol, methanolin the presence of a nitrogen compound to the long hydrocarbon chain; and (b) the carbonation of the greater part of the excess oxide or calcium hydroxide with carbon dioxide.;we obtained the calcium additives which may be up to about 20 gram atoms per equivalent grams of calcium sulfonic acid.;the improvement of the implementation of the method of the invention can also be applied to the preparation of calcium solfonates high basicity reserve used as detergent additives, dispersants in lubricating oils.
