Two reference signals are used for a method for the modulation and synchronous demodulation of color television signals processed according to the principle of offset modulation / sampling. A common reference signal (color burst, synchronization pulses) is used for frequency recovery (8), whereas a reference signal (fs / 2) additionally transmitted in the channel is evaluated for phase recovery (9).
