Wheel for trolley, especially for self-service stores in which the stories are linked by means of ribbed escalators, equipped with a shoe (5) located in the plane of the wheel (1) in a position such that, in the inclined position of the trolley, it is in contact with the top surface of an escalator step in order to lock said trolley in position, said shoe being carried by a fork (8), the arms of which extend on each side of the wheel and are attached to a yoke (2) in which this latter is mounted, characterized in that this fork (8) is pivotally mounted about the axis X-X of the wheel (1) and means are provided for adjusting its angular position in order to adjust the height of the locking shoe (5) as a function of the inclination of the escalator.
