The invention relates to the measurement and the computational conversion of the data which is of importance for the performance produced by sportsmen on bicycles or bicycle-like training equipment. Here, the invention uses special transducers for the force coming into effect on the chain and for the speed. The data is correlated with time in a computer. Via a suitable display, the following are fetched via a change-over: real time, training time, instantaneous performance, work performed in the training period. The purpose of the invention is the physically correct evaluation of the performance produced by the sportsman.
