In the known methods, the foundation is encased on the outside in its upper area and produced with concrete of appropriate quality; in this case the foundation slab rests on top and has then to be reinforced. If it is desired to dispense with the reinforcement, formwork is erected on either side in the upper area at the floor slab level, which requires much effort. These known methods are laborious and expensive. The aim of the invention is to cut down on materials and labour at least in the case of residential buildings with basements.
