Process for the preparation of surface coating materials and enamel paints based on secondary raw materials (waste materials) and polystyrene foam (Styropor)

The invention relates to the use of polystyrene foam packaging material which has been thrown away after its use and is suitable for the preparation of surface coating materials and enamel paints. From 1 m3 of such waste materials, 300-400 kg of surface coating materials or 600-700 kg of enamel paints can be prepared in any paint factory. In the production of polystyrene foam, Porofor is used, which evolves a large amount of nitrogen and forms the foam structure. There is evidence that Styropor is a somewhat plasticised polystyrene which has a thin-walled structure and is highly suitable as a raw material for the preparation of surface coating materials and enamel paints.
