Telescopic lifting mast for forklift truck - ensures unobstructed view to driver by free space between mast members

The lifting mast is used in a forklift truck. The mast has telescopic part carrying a load lifting fork and it is designed so as not to obstruct the driver's view of the road ahead. One the telescopic mast part (24) are fitted first and second guide rollers (66), (68). These are aligned in longitudinal direction and separated by a distance. A single flexible lifting chain (64) is placed over these rollers. The chain has one end (63) connected to the middle of the load carrier (30). Other end (70) of this chain is fastened on the first mast part (21). The lifting cylinder (54) is arranged asymmetrically into the mast and it is connected to the telescopic mast part (24) between the rotating axis of the roller (66, 68).
