The horse-shoeing equipment comprises a moulded boot (1) of an elastomeric or thermoplastic material. The boot is shaped to fit round the hoof for its entire height and ending at the rear of the sole. The sole itself if conventional horseshoe shape. In the sole there can be two flat metal pieces on opposite sides of the hoof, situated symmetrically in relation to the centre line and embedded in the elastic material. The metal points extend through the boot so they can be secured to the hoof.
