Broad band noise attenuation sandwich panels and methods of manufacture utilizing a honeycomb core 11 positioned between and ca bonded to two facing sheets by an adhesive bonding system. One facing sheet 14 is perforated and the other 16 imperforate. A thin sheet 20 of porous fibrous felt or fabric is adhesively bonded to the outer surface of the perforate sheet. The adhesive layer, at least between the perforate sheet and the porous fibrous material, is sufficiently thick to physically isolate the two components and form a funnel shaped opening necked down at the entrance to each perforation.
