The edge of the door is folded in a 'U' and the panel (13) attached to it with a screw (19) passes through an elastic tube (22) fitted inside the fold of the 'U' and extending beyond the 'U' to rest against the rear of the facing panel (13). The screw extends through the tube and penetrates the rear surface of the facing panel, anchoring the screw. To adjust the position of the panel the screw is tightened or released. A folding cap (17) fits over the screw head. A lateral adjustement is then possible within the limit of the internal dia. of the elastic tube (22). The spacing between the door panel and the refrigerator door is determined by the depth of the screw sections (19). The pre-stressing is then obtained by the elastic members (22) which stabilise the thus formed assembly.
