The tanker is made of supple material and is intended to contain liquids in transit, being designed for suspension from a helicopter. The suspension prevents twisting movements and the tank comprises an envelope (1) extended by two opposed cheeks (5) connected to a lifting ring (14). During lifting, when full, the cheeks fold (15,16) onto the envelope, their longitudinal edges each being fitted with a tube (8) locating two straps (9,10). The resulting cruciform strap arrangement centres on a box (11) supporting the ring. A bolt through an eyelet formed by attaching a third strap to the first two straps overlapping at the node, may fix the sling to the box.
