The invention relates to a process for preparing a material for insoles, the material prepared by the process and an insole produced therefrom, the material comprising a main layer of approximately four millimetres thickness and consisting of a mixture of approximately 60% cotton fibres and approximately 40% polyester fibres which are bonded to one another by a binder. The main layer is bonded by heat welding to a base layer which consists of polyurethane foam with a thickness of approximately one millimetre. The material according to the invention is used in production factories for health and hygiene articles and for footwear.
