Method for restoring ionised gas laser tubes of the argon or krypton type

The laser tubes consist mainly of a first central enclosure containing its various parts which is at least partly surrounded by a second enclosure for cooling. The defective parts in the first enclosure are replaced by serviceable parts. The first enclosure is connected to a vacuum pump by an outlet pipe. The laser tube is subjected to several predetermined heating cycles while the vacuum pump is running. The outlet pipe is sealed off while the pumping continues. The first enclosure is then filled by any available means with the active ionisable gas, such as argon or krypton.
