The invention proposes the creation of a new form of jewellery industry based on electronic devices giving models particular colours and particular brightness and, thereby a novel allure. A jewel-support 1 containing a battery and a microswitch is provided with a housing comprising two contacts 2 leading, via embedded conducting wires, to the battery. An electronic core 3 equipped with a printed circuit 4, carrying one or more light-emitting diodes 6, and with a perforated dome 5 fastened on top is recessed and centred in the housing 10 of the jewel by virtue of two centring lugs 9 moulded on the core 3. As the poles 8 of the core and 2 of the housing are then in contact, the current is established between the colour diodes and produces the luminescence of the core and the particular sparkle of the jewel, which will be more or less bright according to the value of the resistor 7 inserted in the core 3.
