Novel method for processing photographic negatives and installation for implementing the method. The subject of the present invention is a novel method for processing photographic negatives. The method according to the invention consists in bringing baths up to a constant temperature and holding them at this temperature during the processing. The said method is characterised in that the processing baths are kept at temperature by circulation of a preheated gas around the vessels 5 containing the bath and in that the baths are stirred by injection of a pressurised neutral gas into the vessels 5. The installation is noteworthy, especially in that it consists of a closed circuit 2, for circulating the preheated gas, in which the vessels 5 are disposed, and of a circuit 1A for supplying heat to the circuit 2.
