When a milk sample (13) or a similar non-homogeneous liquid sample is to be analyzed in a photometric measuring apparatus, the sample is pumped into the apparatus by means of a high pressure pump (16) through a homogenizing device (17) and into a narrow space defined between transparent plate members of a cuvette or measuring cell (10).
