SN-BASE MULTILAYER PLATED STEEL SHEET HAVING HIGH PERFORMANCE, SUPERIOR CORROSION RESISTANCE, WELDABILITY AND COATING ADHESION

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a plated steel sheet having high performance, superior weldability, coating adhesion and corrosion resistance by successively forming an Ni-Fe alloy layer contg. the specified amount of Ni, an Sn layer and a chromate layer on the surface of a steel sheet. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the steel sheet is covered with an Ni-Fe alloy contg. 20% Ni by electroplating or other method by about 10-500mg/m2 to form an under layer. An Sn layer is formed on the under layer by a conven tional method by about 500-2,500mg/m2, and the chromate layer is formed as a top layer by chromating by about 5-20mg/m2 (expressed in terms of metal lic Cr) per one side. The resulting Sn-base multilayer plated steel sheet has superior corrosion resistance, weldability and coating adhesion and can be used as a material for a welded can, an easy open can cover or the like.
