PURPOSE:To improve testing efficiency by providing a high resistance, the 2nd transformer and AC power source, etc. to a load side so that the continuous refiring at the max. inter- electrode voltage, etc. generated by the refiring in the stage of interrupting the charging current by a sample disconnecting switch is made possible. CONSTITUTION:The movable electrode of the sample gaseous SF6 disconnecting switch 1 is driven and is fixed in the mid-way. The inter-electrode distance between said movable electrode and a stationary electrode is determined at a prescribed length and the voltage for starting the inter-electrode discharge is set at the mix. inter-electrode voltage generated by the refiring or the prescribed voltage above said voltage. The voltage is generated by the transformer 5 and further the voltage which has approximately the same voltage and amplitude as the voltage and amplitude of the transformer 5 and has 180 deg. phase difference is generated in the transformer 7 so that the electricity is discharged between the transformer 7 so that the electricity is discharged between the electrodes of the switch 1. The difference of the voltage between the transformers 5 and 7 is impressed between the electrodes of the switch 1 and the discharge is generated when the voltage exceeds the prescribed voltage for starting the discharge. The surge voltage determined by the circuit of a power source side capacitor 3, a reactor 4, the switch 1 and the load side capacitor 2 is generated in this stage. The interruption is attained by the high resistor 9 in the state of the voltage of the capacitor 2 equal to the voltage state of the transformer 5.
