PURPOSE:To make die changing easy and achieve higher working efficiency by disposing the upper die which is movable on the guide rails provided to a crown and the lower die which is slidable with the upper die, is supported on the supporting surface of the platen and is defined of the opening from the upper die. CONSTITUTION:In the press dies 20 used for a press machine 10 which moves a platen 15 having the supporting surface of a lower die 22 upward and downward with respect to a crown 14 having the supporting surface for an upper die 21, the upper die 21 which is movable by being guided by way of friction means of the top surface of the guide rails 27 provided to the foregoing crown 14 is provided and the lower die 22 which is guided slidably by guide posts 23 with respect to the upper die 21, is defined of its maximum opening to the upper die 21 by detention parts 24 and is supported in a suspended state is provided and these are so constituted that the bottom surface of the lower die 22 is supported by the ascending of the platen 15. With the abovementioned constitution, the set up changing work with the exchanging of conventional press dies is eliminated, the idle time is saved considera- bly, the die changing is made easy and the working efficiency is improved.
