PURPOSE:To obtain a lead bronze material having easily adjustable mechanical characteristics and causing hardly cracking by forming a plastically worked structure contg. Pb dispersed finely in the grains. CONSTITUTION:Lead bronze is cast and subjected to mechanical treatment by repeating plastic working and annealing. At this time, the annealing is carried out at 500-550 deg.C and a plastically worked structure contg. Pb dispersed finely in the grains without causing coagulation is formed. Since the resulting lead bronze material has the plastically worked structure, the elongation and hardness are suitable for bearings.
