PURPOSE:To obtain an Fe-Ni or Fe-Ni-Co alloy having superior corrosion resis tance by specifying the maximum length of inclusions such as Mn sulfide and Ca sulfide among nonmetallic inclusions in a cross-section of an alloy parallel to the rolling direction of the alloy. CONSTITUTION:This invention relates to an Fe-Ni or Fe-Ni-Co alloy used as a seal bonding material for a lead frame for IC. The maximum length of one or more kinds of inclusions such as Mn sulfide, Ca sulfide and a composite of the sulfide with other sulfide or oxide among nonmetallic inclusions in a cross-section of the alloy parallel to the rolling direction of the alloy is restricted to =50mum.
