PURPOSE:To enable the detection of relative speed and acceleration with a simple construction, by arranging mobile electrodes each having a metal wire made of elastic wire to surround a fixed electrode in a multiple way to detect the time difference when the mobile electrodes and the fixed electrode get in contact with an object. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of elastic wires 4-6 are arranged to surround a fixed electrode 7 in a multiple way and the tips thereof are connected to metal bars 1-3 respectively. The base ends of the wires are connected to metals 9-9'' for fixing wires insulated from one another. With such an arrangement, as an object approaches, first the metal bar 1 gets in contact therewith and subsequently, the metal bars 2 and 3 and the fixed electrode 7 do and so, the time difference therebetween in contact is detected to calculate the approaching speed of the object thereto and the acceleration of the object. Thus, the use of a probe type sensor with a simple construction enables the detection of the relative speed and the relative acceleration to the object.
