FLOAT SWITCH AND CONTROL DEVICE EMPLOYING SAID FLOAT SWITCH FOR INTERNAL-COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:To reduce the size and the weight of a float switch and to facilitate setting of a mounting position, by a method wherein a magnetic body is secured to a float having the one side being vertically rockably supported to a body, and a contact is opened and closed through separation and contacting of the magnetic body. CONSTITUTION:A float switch 2 has a body 4 made of a non-magnetic material such as resin, and a groove 16, with which an O-ring 18 is engaged, is formed in a cylindrical mounting part 14, mounted to other member, of the body 4. A projection part 6 in a cylinder with a bottom is protruded horizontally from the mounting part 14 of the body 4, and the upper surface forms an expansion surface 6a which is expanded in a convex curved surface toward above. A float 8 is mounted to the mounting part 14 so that it is separated from and brought into contact with the projection part 6 and is vertically rockable around a pin 24, and the magnetic body 12 is secured to the under surface of a float 8. A float switch 10, having a contact 28 closed when the magnetic body 12 approaches, is engaged inwardly of the projection part 6.
