METHOD FOR ADJUSTING VERTICALITY BETWEEN TURNTABLE FACE AND OPTICAL PICKUP OPTICAL AXIS

PURPOSE:To attain adjustment of verticality between a table face and an optical pickup optical axis by adjusting the parallelism between a reference face and a disc turntable vertical to the optical axis of the optical pickup while observing it by means of an optical measuring device. CONSTITUTION:A reflecting mirror 6 is arranged on a reference face 5 orthogonal to the optical axis 4 of the optical pickup 2. In this state, a tilt stage is adjusted so that the optical axis 7 is vertical to the reference face 5 while observing the reflecting light from the reflecting mirror 6 is observed by an automatic collimator 1. Then a high reflecting member 9 is placed on the table 3 and the collimator 1 is moved to a rotation shaft 8 of the table 3. In this state, the reflected light from the member 9 is observed by the collimator 1. Based on the observation, the tilt of the table 3 is adjusted so that the face of the member 9 is vertical to the optical axis of the collimator 1. Through the adjustment as above, the parallelism between the reference face 5 and the face of the table 3 is adjusted.
