摘要
PURPOSE:A polyester having a crystallization exothermic peak at a specific temperature is melt-extruded into fibers, as asymmetric cooling is effected to give latent crimpability caused by cross sectional anisotropy drawn heat-treated, then heat-treated under relaxation to enable low-cost production of the titled fiber with high crimp fastness. CONSTITUTION:A polyester which has higher than 175 deg.C of the exothermic peak TC2 caused by crystallization according to differentially scanning calorimeter (DSC) such as polyethylene terephthalate is melt-extruded and the fibers are, during the melt-extrusion or between the extrusion of drawing, given latent crimpability based on cross sectional anisotropy by asymmetric cooling or heating. Then, the polyester fibers are drawn, then heat-treated under tension or constant length conditions at 165-240 deg.C, followed by heat-treatment under relax to develop crimps whereby the objective fibers which have higher than 190 deg.C of the exothermic peak temperature TC2 caused by crystallization and have no maximum in a range from 70-160 deg.C in the dry-heat shrinkage curve of the fibers.
