CRUSHER FOR PRODUCTION OF COAL-WATER SLURRY

PURPOSE:To provide a crusher capable of varying the crushing time according to the kind of raw coal to give a constant particle size distribution and giving a highly concentrated slurry having low viscosity and suitable for transportation at a low cost, by charging a processing tank with a number of spheres for the wet-crushing of raw coal under agitation. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of coal-water slurry raw material having a coal concentration of e.g. 70wt% is pushed through the first feeding line 4 into the processing tank 1, and the tank is added with a raw material mixture through the second feeding line 6 attached to the middle part of the tank. A part of the processed product is recycled to the tank and subjected to the crushing and kneading to the tank and subjected to the crushing and kneading treatment by the stirring motion of the spheres 2 according to the upward passage of the product through the tank. The product other than the recycling part is taken out of the delivery line 5 as a produced slurry. The particle size distribution gradient of the coal component in the produced slurry can be varied by varying the relative ratio of the feeding rates of the raw coal through the feeding lines 4 and 6, and accordingly, an optimum slurry having high concentration and low viscosity can be produced independent to the kind of the raw coal.
