PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of data approach in a loop of plural-segment arrangement and to improve efficiency of execution of programs by generating object code that executes instruction of segment switching only when switching of segment is required. CONSTITUTION:Memory layout 10 of arrangement A by FORTRAN language is expressed by the longest segments 1-4, and one is prepared for each of segment by a group of descriptive words that indicate starting address of segments 1-4 in a segment table 20, and registered arranging in order of segments 1-4 of the layout 10. When processing segments 1-4, and instruction time is made to there is output switching and there is no output switching corresponding to corresponding to processing steps 1-8. An object code that executes instruction to segment switching only when switching of segments 1-4 is necessary is generated. Thus, efficiency of data approach in the loop of arrangement of plural segments 1-4 is improved.
