CONSTITUTION:In case of manufacturing an electromagnetic steel billet containing 3.0-4.5% Si by continuous casting, the surface temperature of the central part of a billet end-part at the end of an installation of casting machine is kept at =600 deg.C=1,200 deg.C. And then, the billet is hot rolled by charging it into a heating furnace without cooling it to an ambient temperature. In this way, a hot-rolled electromagnetic steel sheet is effectively prevented from causing edge cracks.
