PURPOSE:To feed stably a biological tissue and cell containing a crude drug component, by washing a tissue fragment or cell, etc. to be cultivated with a germ-free isotonic solution containing a nutriment and a hormonal agent, transferring the tissue fragment, etc. to a culture medium and multiplying aseptically the tissue fragment, etc. CONSTITUTION:A cell or tissue of a living body containing a crude drug component such as growing point, terminal bud, bone marrow, cartilage or lymphocyte is isolated, washed with a germ-free isotonic solution containing a nutriment and hormonal agent, transferred to a solid culture medium or liquid culture medium such as agar culture medium, and aseptically multiplied. The cell or tissue can be cultivated with a high growth rate of the cultivated tissue in a large amount in a short time and the pretreatment process can be simplified.
