PREPARATION OF DISODIUM CALCIUM ETHYLENEDIAMINE-TETRAACETATE

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound useful as an antioxidant in high purity without requiring drying process, by precipitating crystal from an aqueous solution of disodium calcium ethylenediaminetetraacetate at a specific temperature, separating it while it is hot. CONSTITUTION:Crystal is separated from an aqueous solution of disodium calcium ethylenediaminetetraacetate at 80-110 deg.C, and it is separated while it is hot, to give disodium calcium ethylenediaminetetraacetate crystal. By this method, precipitated crystal has a large particle size, the separation is carried out easily, attached water at high temperature is changed into water of crystallization at low temperature, the crystal becomes crytal which is stable and dry at normal temperature, so that method has merits of requiring no drying, etc.
