CHEMICAL CLEANING LIQUID FOR TITANIUM HEAT EXCHANGER

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled chemical cleaning liq. reducing the extent of carrosion of titanium without deteriorating the power to dissolve hard scale by adding one or more kinds of oxidizing ions to a soln. of a nonoxidizing acid. CONSTITUTION:One or more kinds of oxidizing ions such as Cu2+, Fe3+ and S2O32- are added to a soln. of a nonoxidizing acid such as hydrochloride acid or sulfuric acid to prepare a chemical cleaning liq. for a titanium heat exchanger. The concn. of the nonoxidizing acid is regulated to =about 10%, and the concn. of the oxidizing ions added is regulated to =about 0.1wt%. An inexpensive chemical cleaning liq. which is handled with little danger is obtd.
