PROTECTION WALL CONSTRUCTION IN EXCAVATION WORK

PURPOSE:To make the construction of a sheathing wall easier by a method in which steel tubes having plural guide grooves along the longitudinal direction of its periphery are driven into the ground to be excavated, and steel plates curved toward the bearing ground are orderly stacked up between the steel tubes along the grooves. CONSTITUTION:A steel tube or bar 1 has guide grooves or rails 2 along the longitudinal direction of the axis on its periphery. A sheathing steel plate 3 is curved along its longitudinal direction and has projected portions 4 to be coupled with the guide grooves 2 on its both ends. Plural steel tubes 1 are driven into the ground to be excavated, and the steel plates 3 are orderly stacked up by turning its projected side toward the bearing ground S between the tubes 1 and penetrated. The ground on the recessed side of the plate 3 is excavated, the steel plates are likewise driven, and the following excavation is made. A sheathing wall can thus be constructed without the needs for driving sheet piles.
