PURPOSE:To obtain a titled wire by which a deposited metal can secure a high yielding point and a toughness even in case of a high deposition TIG welding by using low C and adding an alloy element of Si, Mn, Ni, Mo and V by a specified quantity. CONSTITUTION:This wire for TIG welding consists of 0.05-0.15 C, =0.30% Si, =1.50% Mn, 3.00-8.00% Ni, 0.20-1.50% V, =0.010% P, =0.010% S, and Fe as a balance substantially, and adds 0.30-2.50% Cr as necessary. According to the wire of this composition, even in case of TIG welding under such a condition as a large heat input and a high deposition of = about 20KJ/cm heat input and = about 10g/min wire depositing speed, a welding metal in which a yielding ratio is = about 0.90, a yielding point is about 60-110kgf/mm2, and a Charpy absorption energy as a toughness is = about 10kgf.m is obtained.
