The system has monitors located along the runway and at its ends and at all access routes to it. The monitors provide information about all stationary and moving vehicles and aircraft in their vicinity. The information is analysed by computer whose memories contain data describing the characteristics of all vehicles and aircraft on the airport site. - The computer is connected to a display screen showing the runway and access routes. All the vehicles and aircraft are shown on the screen together with their identification and movement. An alarm is released if a vehicle or air craft dails to obey a stop command.
