The ground above the gallery is consolidated over a zone thick enough and wide enough to support the loads above the gallery without deformation. The gallery is hollowed in stages and indeformable frame elements are placed at equal distances. One vertical frame piece is mobile and guided to move parallel to itself and to the frame horizontal members. - Lining plates are pressure wedged between the frame and gallery walls over at least part of the periphery. Two neighbouring frame mobile vertical pieces are simultaneously pushed into their required position.
