Cylindrical silo for storing such agricultural substances as manure or silage, consisting of individual plates (1, 2) and especially glazed, enamelled or plastic-coated plates assembled by means of a single row of bolts (4) arranged at the connecting or joining points to overlapping plates edges and having, in the region of the overlap of the axis-parallel vertical plate joints, profile strips (3) arranged on both sides near the rows of bolts, characterised in that the profile strips (3) provided on both sides are constituted as supporting members (3) more than 1.5 mm thick which prevent the bolts pitching under load, that the profile strips (3) have bolt-holes the distance between centres of which is 3 to 4.8 times the diameter of the bolt, which is particularly a distance between 40 and 60 mm and preferably between 42 and 53.7 mm, that the edges of the holes in the profile strips are arranged at a distance which is 0.3 to 1 times the distance between the holes and the edges of the plate borders, especially between 20 and 40 mm and preferably 31 mm.
