PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF PREPARATIVES FROM THE CONTENT OF THE CRAW OF RUMINANTS TO THE PURPOSE OF FAVOURABLE INFLUENCE OF THE DIGESTING PROCESS OF DOMESTIC ANIMALS

Prepns. to improve the digestive processes of domestic animals based on the contents of the rumen of ruminants are obtd. by filtering and pressing the rumen content immediately after slaughter. The resulting sludge is opt. stored at a suitable temp. for a predetermined time in anaerobic conditions. Subsequently a protective colloid, pref. dried milk powder is added in amts. of 8-12 wt% based on the solids content of the sludge, and at least 0.1 wt% antioxidant. The mixt. is homogenised and dried to a solids content of 92-94 wt%. Surface protecting and dispersing agents are added to the dry material and the prod. is packaged. - The fibrous content of the rumen is comminuted to a fibre length of at least 1-2 cm, the material is homogenised with at least 0.1 vol% antioxidant and dried to a solids content of at least 90 wt%. The resulting prod. is granulated and/or pressed into cake.
