An improved marine screw propeller having lobe shaped blades ? having diameter (990 +/- 20) mm; maximum ? at 0.6 R line (685 +/- 15) mm; and wherein ? of pitch occurs in respect of each said ? ? from 0.3 R line; and wherein ? is provided with aerofoil sections between its roots and 0.6 R line and conventional regular circular section from 0.6 R line till the peripheral edge of the blade, the expression ''0.6 R line'' having the meaning given hereinbefore.
