The postal bag container handling and unloading system includes a base frame (1) mounted to the work space floor, and a container enclosure (2) which has a tilting platform with an interconnected work table (3). The enclosure has a platform base and a connected support surface (5) which has at the free end, a lid section (6). The container (7), loaded with postal bags (8), can move in the direction of arrow (P) onto the platform. A push button (21) operates a hydraulic drive, enabling the container to tilt on a spindle (19). An operator may move the bags in the chosen direction (left or right) from the work table top.
