The arrangement for making cylindrical or semicylindrical plain bearing liners has internal and external dies. A curved section is formed from a strip of bearing material. The plain bearings can have different metal layers. The radial outside wall of the strip is formed by a number of die rollers (18). A forming press picks up the partly curved metal strips and arranged them on two forming die tools (13, 14). The rollers (18) which mould the outside wall of the bent strip move freely along a track (19) which encloses the curved bent strip.
