The invention relates to a closure device for container apertures, in particular for the dome on rail-bound bulk freight and tank wagons. The essence of the invention consists in that the closure device locks the lid by means of lever closures with a defined pressing-on path for the seal. For this purpose, the lid is locked by at least three lever closures whose actuating levers, arranged above the lid, point towards one another, and whose one actuating lever overlaps and secures the other actuating levers. The actuating levers allow simple and rapid operation, are secured in an over dead centre position and can be used for raising the lid in the case of a sticking seal.
