In the mfr. of an effect yarn formed by twisting thread coils round with a hollow spindle, the quality is monitored by a contact tensometer. The component threads of the effect yarn are controlled by monitoring the finished effect yarn, and the loops on tearing are held by =1 of the component threads. The system reduces the cost of quality control.
