Electronic printer facilitates the ready and economic changing of type style and dimension. The drive unit is controlled by numerical commands and is conditioned by a servo-control unit. The commands determine the speed of the element in a predetermined time interval along the coordinates. The servo-control unit is able to determine the momentary speed of the recording element and compares the signals of this determining unit with the signals corresponding to the command. The printer which may be in the form of an X-Y plotter has a printing head with an outlet nozzle and a pressure container. The printing head can be operated electromagnetically.
