The boiler has the combustion chamber wall in front of the burner arranged to have a concave section. The smoke path comprises at least one annular smoke sleeve, also a vertical pipe from which existing smoke moves to the sleeve. The sleeve can extend vertically, being surrounded by water at three sides, i.e. two vertical and at least one nearly horizontal top side. At the remaining side is an interrupted annular partition forming an inlet to the sleeve. The sleeve can be intercepted by a vertical partition, directing smoke to and from the sleeve. The water jacket has a water connection to a laterally spaced container which forms the smoke sleeve.
