A warhead 10 comprises a warhead housing for holding a shaped charge 13, a fuze 12 connected to the warhead and a sliding sleeve 16 for setting the optimum fuze separation. In order to avoid adversely affecting the effect of the shaped charge, the sliding sleeve 16 surrounds the warhead housing 11 coaxially and is supported such that it can slide on the outer jacket of the housing 11. The sliding sleeve 16 furthermore has an annular base 16b, on which are supported helical springs 18 which are guided in holes 17 or longitudinal slots in the warhead housing 11 or the sliding sleeve 16.
